THE HUMAN RELATIONS INSTITUTE AND S.A.I.L.

The Human Relations Institute (HRI) was established in St. Lucia as a dedicated vehicle through which soft skill training and the SAIL Model of human relations training could be facilitated. HRI offers a fresh approach to quality, credible soft skill training to both organizations and individuals.

Dr. Ernest Ottley is founder of the Human Relations Institute and developer of the SAIL Model. He is an educator/trainer dedicated to the positive transformation of people, organizations and the social world through the vehicle of human relations soft skills. He believes that social change is affected by targeting individual change.

THE CONCEPT OF HUMAN RELATIONS

Human Relations (soft skills) refer to an individual’s focused efforts towards self-development and self-regulatory behaviours for the benefit of interacting successfully with others.

TRAINING MODALITIES

HRI engages several modalities to deliver training including synchronous and asynchronous fully online modalities along with blended face-to-face and virtual training options, particularly within the Saint Lucian context or as international requirements demand.

INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL OFFERINGS

In addition to individuals and organizations becoming S.A.I.L. certified, HRI provides customized soft skill offerings specific to organizational requirements. Additionally, specially developed workshops, retreats seminars, consultations and human relations soft skills analysis are offered through the institute.
